Hey—if you don’t know me, I’m SFG Bane 7. I’m 24, a content creator, and the owner of Specter Forge Gaming.
I want to talk to you directly—not just about what SFG is, but what it actually means to me to run this community.
This didn’t start as just another project. SFG is something I built with intention. I wanted a space that had structure, direction, and real opportunity—something more than the typical server where people come and go without purpose. I wanted people to feel like they could be part of something bigger, something they could grow in.
Running SFG, for me, isn’t just about leadership—it’s responsibility.
It means making decisions that don’t always please everyone, but still trying to do what’s right for the community as a whole. It means dealing with conflict head-on instead of ignoring it. And it means owning mistakes when they happen, because they do happen. Growth doesn’t come without pressure, and we’ve felt that.
There have been moments where things got difficult—people leaving, disagreements, tension inside the community. I’ve had to sit back and really look at how things were being handled, including my own role in it. That’s not always easy, but it’s necessary.
Because to me, SFG isn’t just numbers or activity—it’s people.
As someone who cares about mental health, that matters a lot. Running this community means I have to think about how decisions affect people, how communication is handled, and whether individuals feel heard or overlooked. Structure is important, but it can’t come at the cost of respect or understanding.
So when things needed to change, we made changes. We started focusing more on listening, being more transparent, and creating an environment where people actually have a voice. Not just in theory, but in practice.
At the same time, I still believe in what we’re building on the structural side—strong leadership, clear roles, and opportunities to step up. That hasn’t changed. If anything, it’s become more refined.
Balancing those two things—structure and empathy—is what running SFG means to me.
It’s not always easy. It takes time, patience, and constant adjustment. But it’s worth it.
Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just a Discord server to me. It’s something I’m building with intention, something I’m learning from every day, and something I want to see grow into a community people are genuinely proud to be part of.
That’s what Specter Forge Gaming means to me.
